Cyclone Ditwah preparedness / response criticism
What happened
Cyclone Ditwah struck in late November 2025, causing catastrophic floods and landslides. Later DMC/UN reporting put the toll at 646 deaths and 173 missing, with more than 2.2 million people affected at peak. Media criticism focused on warnings, preparedness, evacuation, emergency powers and reconstruction performance.
